Confrontation

[Machaeus]

Urufu transforms and lands on Revil's back, crushing the rifle's barrel with his bare hands. Machaeus places a Retaliation Barrier up and watches as the armors crush themselves with their own firepower as they try to attack him. "You were saying, @$$hat?" the werewolf grins. "Now take back that monster crack. At least we've got more balls than you do."
"I concur," Machaeus says, walking forwards dangerously.
(Sorry for stealing thunder, but a bunch of armors against a well-prepared warlock and a no-frills assault rifle versus a walking arsenal? No contest. And you know, I've been thinking "this armors thing is so very 'Gundam'" for a while now...am I right in some regard?)

[Ash]

((Don't worry. Those armors were only planned as a little warm up.
Now that they are no more, even though that was quicker than I thought, it is time for the endgame. And yes, I am huge Gundam fan. Always wondered how it would look like if they weren't Mecha, but armors someone wears. Would probably be the best if you think of them as... Hm... Something like Samus Aran´s Power Suit or Master Chief´s armor. OR... has anyone seen "Iron Man"? Just that these look like Gundams. ))


"Cant be!", Revil shouts as he sees what happens to the six armors.

"You want me to "take back that monster crack" ?", Revil says quietly, with an annoyed expression. "YOU WISH!", he then shouts,throwing Urufu over his shoulder through room. "You all don't understand anything. If you had to kill only two people to end all war and conflict in this world, wouldn't you do it?", he asks them.

Without making a noise Ash dashes behind Revil and tries to shoot him again. Like before, Revil dodges the attack with ease. The rocket impacts on the wall in front of Ash.

"You all act like spoiled brats. Trying to destroy what you cant understand.", Revil says, punching Ash so hard against the head that a piece of the metal cover breaks off. Ash stumbles back and shakes his head.

"You want to kill Amy and me. There is nothing to understand."

"Did you ever ask yourself why Amy should die? You probably thought that you should die because you refused to carry out your orders. But her?"

"Enlighten me. Not that it makes any difference now."

Revil laughs and crosses his arms.

"We used your combat data to program a new O.S for the armors. You know, it is not difficult to construct armors. It is difficult to find people who can control them. It is not as simple as one might think. So the best option was to let an A.I handle everything.
And why should we risk our soldiers life's when an A.I is better anyways? You and your friends might be able to destroy them without any problems. But can you imagine what a whole army of them could do? We could finally end all wars! We could achieve peace! You should be honored to die for such a future!!!"

"THATS IT!?! THATS WHY I HAVE TO DIE!?! Are you stupid? That makes no sense!"

"It makes sense. Would you let the main component of your newest weapon just walk around?"

"You disgust me.", Ash says, raising the rocket launcher again. But before he can fire his attention is distracted as a loud noise comes from the other side of the room.

The roller shutter on the other side of the room opens slowly, revealing what is inside. A huge armor, easily double the size of a normal human stomps outside, immediately raising the beam machine-gun it is equipped with.

"I am really curious how long you can survive.", Revil says, followed by a small laugh.

Without hesitation, the huge armor opens fire, sending countless green beams through the room.

[Machaeus]

Machaeus sighs. "What you dream of is not peace - it is world domination. But I suppose it is peaceful for those in charge if they never see the suffering they cause under their warstate...at least until the underclasses uprise in righteous outrage. Ever heard of the Middle Ages?" He brings up his hands and shouts, "FIENDSPIRE!" A spike of brimstone rips up through the floor, badly damaging Revil's armor. He throws up a small Retaliation Barrier in front of himself to guard himself from shots, but takes a few shots anyways as he is casting the spell.
Meanwhile, Urufu is helping to cover for Kei. "Okay, think you can shut that thing down if I get you close enough, miss hacker?"

[Ash]

Ash dashes backward to where Urufu and Kei are, dodging the incoming beams, just in time to hear Urufu´s suggestion.

"Good plan. If you tell me how you want to get close enough to this thing, open up the chest armor and reprogram the CPU without getting wasted.", he says in an angry tone. "However. I will help Machaeus. We should be able to eliminate Revil. Ace or not.", he continues, grabbing the other rocket launcher from his back.

Meanwhile Revil stumbles back, trying to recover from Machaeus attack.

"Not bad, boy. Really. Not bad. But I wont be defeated that easily.", he says, barely loud enough for Machaeus to hear. "I have fought people who were better than all of you together. And now they are dead."
He ejects a beam saber out of his right forearm and grabs it in midair. A bright green flickering blade appears at the top of the saber shortly after that. Then he charges at Machaeus, ready to slice him in half.
Ash dashes toward Revil, planning to hit him from point blank distance. That would definitely kill him, since Machaeus already dealt a good amount of damage to him.
Before Ash reaches Revil, he fires two rockets in advance, right before he activates his Wings of Light. Again Revil dodges the rockets. But this time Ash had expected that. As Ash reaches Revil, he holds one of the rocket launchers right in front of Revils chest. In fact, it was just one of the images that the Wings of Light created.
Revil however was not the least bit surprised or confused about that. He grabs the real rocket launcher and pushes it to the side. Another rocket goes to waste as Ash pulled the trigger.

What the...!

"Do you think that such a cheap trick can fool me?", Revil says, raising his saber into the air.

Ash dodges Revil´s upcoming attack, flies up into the air and shots with the other rocket launcher at the huge armor. The rocket is destroyed by a beam right before it could reach the armor.
But it wasn't the MA-X01-S who shot. Or was he? Ash notices something moving at the ceiling. Something else moves in the air around the huge armor.
But it was to fast and to small. He cant properly see what it is.

Those Wings of Light are the most useless piece of sh*t ever created. I understand that I couldn't fool Xacio with them. But THAT GUY? A normal human?

The MA-X01-S continues to fire at his targets, while some more beams apparently appear out of nowhere. Shooting at everything except Revil, who was already on his way to continue his attack on Machaeus.
Revil gained speed with every second. If Ash wouldn't know it better, he would say that Revil´s armor also has the Wings of Light installed.
Revil jumps the last meters to Machaeus, lands in front of him and slams his knee into Machaeus stomach, grinning evil.

"I couldn't care less about world domination. All I want to see is a world where humans live together in peace, regardless of skin color, origin or religion."

Again he raises his saber to kill Machaeus, but his grin disappears.

"But this world belongs to humans. There is no place for monsters like you or your friends.", he says with a cold, emotionless voice.

[Machaeus]

"BLACK LIGHTNING!" Machaeus snarls, and black electricity courses up the beam saber, making it blow up. Shrapnel flies in both the mage's face and Revil's, long enough to distract him...

[Ash]

"MACHAUES!!!", Ash shouts, seeing what just happened. He was flying to Machaeus and Revil position, the Wings of Light bigger than before, but is stopped as a beam came from above him, missing him only by an inch.

d**n! What is this! Where?

He looks up to where the beam came from to see a small disk hovering in the air. In the next second, the disk is gone again.

I´ll get to you in a second. Just wait.

He continues his flight, evading countless beams from the enemy armor and the disks, focused on Revil. The disks obviously want to keep Ash away from Revil. But most of the beams only hit the images in front and behind Ash. Meanwhile Revil, holding his bloody face in pain, stumbles through the room, unable to realize what just happened. The blood which drips from his face seemingly dissapears on the red armor. Ash appears behind Revil and pushes one rocket launcher against his enemys back.
A small laugh escapes Ash mouth as he pulls the trigger. In the next second Revil is consumed by a big fireball. Plates of metal fly through the air into all directions.
Without waiting to see the result of his attack, Ash dashes toward Machaeus and helps him up.

"Dont dare to die.Looks worse than it actually is. That was a nice attack. Not even his mother would recognize him now.", Ash says, assisting him to get back to Urufu and Kei. "Okay you two. One is down. Now we only have to take care of the big sucker."

The big armor stopped his attack, looking over to Revil, who is lying motionless on the ground.

"The biggest problem are probably those flying things. Whatever they are. I try to attract his attention. We can probably destroy him if we attack alltogether. But aim for the chest. This thing is to big to be worn like an ordianry armor.", he says, followed by a sigh.

[Machaeus]

Machaeus is gripping his face, trying to pull out the pieces slowly. Urufu is helping him, and a few minutes later they have it gone. "Okay, what was that?" Machaeus asks. "I was kind of in deafening pain."
Urufu explains things to him, and says, "Think you're up for it?"
"Not yet. I can barely concentrate on my spells thanks to the hurt."
"Great. Stay here, we'll take care of things. Kei, you never answered my question."
Kalyy'ya appears in a blast of fire. "Some soldiers were outside - I got a glimpse of one of 'em and decided to have a little fun. They're running and screaming right now, unless they've dropped from exhaustion." A blast of laser fire flies over her head and she ducks down. "What the heck?!"
"Big-@$$ mecha," Urufu says. "Machaeus is in pain from shrapnel, so he's out."
"Nice. Is the madman I heard shouting dead?"
"He should be."

[tachyon]

Kei, who has spent the better part of the fight behind cover, chances a peak at the large mecha. Even if she could get close to it, opening it up and messing with it's insides was not looking like a plausable course of action. She takes a quick look about her surroundings, then notices a grill covering an air duct on the floor.
"Guys! I'm gonna go somewhere where I can do some damage!" she yells.
Diving then rolling out from cover, she tears off the cover and dissapears down the duct before the large robot could get off a shot.

[Machaeus]

"Smart," Urufu says.
"What? I still can't hear over the face pain. Wait, is not being able to feel your face better than pain?"
"Comfort-wise, yes; otherwise, no," Urufu says. "Okay, people, we need to distract this thing while Kei takes down the BBEG."
"The what-now?" Kalyy'ya asks.
"Boss."
"Oh, why didn't you say so?"

Air vents and service conduits were things that Kei had been playing around in since she was a kid on New Eden. Then again, she'd also been a lot smaller back then.
She pulled herself through the enclosed space, a small datapad in her hands in front of her acting as a guide. The sounds of battle above reached her, and each explosion or step of the mech brought more dust down on her. For someone with as sensitive nose as hers, it was torture.
Eventually Kei reached another grill, which clattered into a small alcove after one bash. She pulled her dusty body out of the air duct and into a small maintenance pit. A ladder led up to, presumably, the hanger above. Among the pipes and conduits there was a screen with a fold-down keypad in one corner between several electrical and fiber optic cable bundles.
"Jerdic!" she said as she pulled her own slicer out of her vest.

[Ash]

"On my way!", Ash says quietly as he jumps forward and up in the air, starting to hover around the bulky armor with a respectable distance.
He shoots three times at the enemy, using the last rockets from one of the rocket launchers. One of the rockets nearly misses only by a few inches, while the other two are shot down from somewhere in the room before they even come close to their target.

How is he doing this? Where are they?

The MA-X01-S slowly turns his head to Ash and holds the machine gun in his direction. He activates the Wings of Light just in time to dodge countless green beams.
Ash lets one of the rocket launchers fall down onto the ground while dashing toward his enemy. The image Ash creates doesn't seem to concern the MA-X01-S at all. He just continues firing, as if he knows which one the real Ash is.
Coming closer and closer, Ash reaches out for his beam cannon. It unfolds and is ready to fire in the blink of an eye. But as soon as Ash pointed it toward the armor, a beam came from below him, pierces through the cannon and throws Ash off due to the following explosion.
Image after Image created by the Dragon-Armor disappears until Ash continued his attack. All of a sudden he stops to shot one rocket toward the ceiling, without even aiming.
But he hits one of the disks and is able to destroy it, which surprises him more than anyone else. Not sure how he done it he continues the flight. Ready to blow the enemy's head of with one last shot.

[tachyon]

Suddenly, warning lights began to flash and a klaxon started to blare. One of the cranes on the ceiling began to move across it's tracks so fast that the cable beneath it trailed several meters behind it. As it approached the robot it stopped suddenly, sparks flying from the emergency brakes. The crane's cable however, and the magnetic grappler at it's end, did not stop. Momentum carried them right into the chest of the mecha with a mighty crash, knocking it over onto the floor.
"YEEEEHAAAA!! Take that!" yelled someone over the PA system, "Guess who guys?"
From the maintenance pit below the hanger Kei was typing furiously, locking down doors all over the facility to harass the EDF troopers and shutting down as many other computers as she could to prevent anyone from locking her out.
Back up top, the mecha tried to get up again, only to be knocked over once more by the still swinging crane.

[Ash]

Attacking with a crane? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Ash is now behind the MA-X01-S, aiming with his beam cannon at his enemy's head, ready to end this fight, but is forced to retreat again, thanks to a beam the other disk fires at him.

How? How is he doing this?

Another beam. This time Ash isn't quick enough. The beam goes straight through his beam cannon, causing it to explode, damaging his armor, especially the wings, pretty bad. Ash fires two rockets in direction of the disk, forcing it to evade. In the blink of an eye he is beside the disk, the beam saber he got from Helena in his hand, slicing the annoying disk in half.

What? How have I done this?

He isn't really sure how he was able to destroy the last disk. A few minutes ago he wasn't even able to locate them. But now, all of a sudden, they are no threat for him anymore? Doesn't matter. The MA-X01-S is slowly getting up again, pointing the beam machine-gun at Ash. That is the only thing that matters right now.

"Here I come!" yelled Kei's voice over the PA.
The crane repeated it's movements as last time, coming in fast then suddenly stopping to allow the arm to swing. But as the magnetic claw sung forward the mecha side stepped it, then grabbed the steel cable and proceeded to rip the entire assembly from the ceiling. The distraction was enough for it to lose it's targeting however.
"d**n, sorry guys. Didn't think it'd be such a fast learner..."
Kei then addressed the more pressing concern of several squads trying to break down the doors she'd locked. A few keystrokes later, one squad was slipping over as fire retardant foam rained on them, while another retreated from halon gas released from more potent fire suppression system, all done while laughing like a madwoman.
"Heh, all your base are belong to ME!"

[Ash]

This is my chance!

Ash flies toward the MA-X01-S at an insane speed, the Wings of Light activated, pulling a trail of images behind him. Right beside the armor he stops, slams the rocket launcher against his enemy's head and pulls the trigger.
The MA-X01-S head is covered in an explosion. Pieces of metal, steel and electronic fly in all directions. But it seems as if this doesn't concern the big armor at all. As quickly as possible he turns around and opens fire at Ash again.
Ash reacts pretty quick and throws the rocket launcher into the incoming beams, canceling most of them before they can get near him.

This is impossible! How can this b@stard see where I am? He just lost all three cameras. It just cant be!

In one single motion Ash ejects his beam saber out of the armors pocket at his right hip and catches it in mid-air. The saber activates as Ash dodges more incoming beams.

"Now Urufu! Destroy him!", Ash shouts, dashing toward the MA-X01-S again.
