Kei closed the browser and turned around to face the others, Labrat sitting on her shoulder. "I think that you are forgetting that we are currently the most wanted people on this station, and that the only way out is to the Dockyards which are about," she pointed to a wall, "3 kilometers thataway. It's not like we can just walk there, and we certainly can't take the transit system." Doc held up a finger and gave a sly smile. There was a knowing look in his eyes. "I just might have the solution to your problem, if you'd care to follow me." He walked over to a shelf full of medical journals, published in dozens of differnt languages, and took out one who's title was in some alien language. When opened, there were no words written within, only a hole cut in the pages with a keypad held inside. Doc typed out a code and replaced the book, then walked over to one of his many medical certificates on the wall and tilted the frame slightly to one side. The sound of grinding gears came from beneath as a portion of the floor slid open to reveal a small tunnel with a set of tracks on the bottom. "This is how I get my supplies from the docks to here without them being stolen or overcharged on tariffs," explained Doc, " I suppose once a smuggler always a smuggler. Now, the rail car sould be along shortly. It'll be a bit cramped but you will get to where your going a lot faster and safer." A pair of small open-topped trolleys arrived underneath the hatch, each about 1.5 meters long. They looked cramped.

"We could always port there," Machaeus says, "But in all honesty that would cause commotion if I ported to the wrong space. So that's out. Our best option is here," he sighs, clamboring in. Urufu transforms to human form (if he wasn't already; I'm too lazy to look back ) and walks in after him. "One question," Urufu says. "You said we're the most wanted people here. Does that mean that the bounty hunting office doubles as the law enforcement here, or am I reading too much into things?"

(You were in human form dude, lazy lazy man you.) Kei laughs at Urufu's comment before jumping into the trolley. "There is no law enforcement here. Hell, there's no law here; just people the who might try to kill you, and the people who will try to kill you. Deathwatch has more of a hold than any other group because it's got more grunts and bigger guns than any of the others."

"That might be a save way to the hangar...", Ash says as he climbs into one of the trolleys. "...But even if we arrive there, were still not out of here.If Deathwatch really is that big, they're probably already all over the hangar."
"Even if you work there...", Ash says to Kei. "They're also looking for you.Call me a pessimist if you want. But how do you think were getting to our ship in one piece?"

"Just leave that to me. Once we're in I can get us around easily, it's where i work remember? Some of the guys there'd be happy to help us, I'm sure they can think of something to draw the heat off of us." Kei looks down the dark tunnel that seems to stretch on forever. "We all set?"

"If you say so.", Ash replies, kneeling down in the trolley.
"Well,I'm ready.Feel free to start this thing whenever you want."

Machaeus sighs. "I just know this will end in blows." "Meh," is all Urufu replies with.

"Don't worry, I'll know the place. I'll get us through." Kei reasures them, "Hey Doc, where's this thing end up?" Doc leans down over the hatch. "In a storeroom, well under it anyway, in Section 18-B West I think." "I know the one. This should be simple enough if we stick to the areas that aren't public." Kei squeezes down in the rear carriage, searching for some way to operate the trolleys. Doc sees her and taps the hatch. "It'll automatically activate as soon as the hatch closes. In about 10 minutes you will be at the other end. Well, good bye. And good luck to you all." The hatch closed, and the tunnel was plunged into darkness. Then, after a few seconds, a string of ceiling lights lit up as the small cars began to move down the tracks.

Urufu sighs as they're squeezed in. He listens intently, breathing slowly to conserve the oxygen inside the trolley. "It's not airtight, Urufu," Machaeus says. "I checked." "Just being safe, okay? Jeez. Kei, you still have Gordon?"

"Unfortunately." Kei replies, pulling the AI out from under her. Gordon shook his camera a few times. "Cor, an' I thought that you had a hairy bum Rufi." Kei held up Gordon where he was promptly smacked by one of the hanging lights. She smiled evilly at the shaken AI. "Watch out, it's a low ceiling in here. Well, what the plan? I can get you to your ship, I can even fly it, but it bound to be surrounded by now. Probably sabotaged too. Come to think of it what type of ship is it?" "It's, umm, a KPS-R2200." replies Gordon. Kei's ears twitched slightly. "A what? You came here in that? When did you leave Earth, 6 months ago?" "It's not that bad..." "It's the starship equivalent of a minivan! You've come the one of the most dangerous places in know space in an un-armored, un-shielded, un-armed, sublight bus!" "Well, that's not entirely true..." began Gordon, "It's a custom model y'see, might be un-armed an' the shields certainly won't last under fire, but the hulls tougher an' the engines 'ave been overhauled. She has got an LDS too..."

"As long as the ship the ship wont break apart once were out of here,it'll be good enough." ,Ash says, cowering in the trolley, obviously trying to get in a more comfortable position.
"I'm not much of a strategist.I usually get orders and blow stuff up.Well... We get to the ship.If necessary by force of arms.Out of here, back to earth. You drop me off at the facility where Xacio is.From then on I handle things alone. There is no need to pull you deeper into this.Deathwatch is now after you too. And if the EDF finds out that you helped me,it will get even worse."

Kei shakes her furry head, her ear piercings jingling. "No way, I'm going with you. I've spent my whole life hiding, a few more enemies won't make any difference. Besides you need me. Ze-, Xacio won't hurt me." she sat back a bit, staring at the passing lights before looking straight into Ash's eyes. "I've got my own agenda with him, you've got yours. But don't you dare kill him... not before I've seen him."

Machaeus stares at Kei as Urufu takes Gordon back. "You...are attracted to him, aren't you?" he asks with a smile - though she's not certain if there's any other intent behind it. Urufu stares at Machaeus, mouth hanging open, then Kei, as though he's saying, "Tell me that's not true."

"I...don't know what I feel anymore." said Kei, still looking up at the lights. "Things changed."

"You know, for some reason, I expected you to shout in dismay and cover it up, regardless of you having feelings for him," Machaeus grins. "It's nice to know you're honest about that." Urufu's eyebrow raises. "Sure, it's nice to know she likes a killer mercenary. Whom someone here is angry at. Then again, I once liked a girl with a gunpowder fetish, so I'm not one to talk, am I?" "No, you're really not." Machaeus shudders as memories of Ruby come back.
