"If we could get out of the hangar without being seen,we could cause some trouble elsewhere and...No.They would probably see us..."
He walks up to the screen to take a closer look.
"Can you set off a fake alarm somewhere in the station?Maybe a message that we have been spotted not far away from here?"

"Thats an idea," says Kei, "there are anti-theft alarms in every hanger, I just have to find one which is empty...of beings I mean. If it hasn't got a ship in it then there's not much point." Kei begins working on the computer console, using her own access codes it is a very quick and simple operation. After a minute Kei smiles and raises a fist. "Alright! Thats done. I've set off the alarm in a hanger thats halfway around the station, I've also locked the doors and began to warm up the ships engines by remote. Honestly, people should be more careful about leaving their computers online inside a place like this." On the screen the view returned to the security camera inside the hanger. The Deathwatch guards remain where the are for a few seconds before one of them places a hand to the side of his head, recieving a radio call no doubt. He then yells something at the others who all start to run out of a door. "It won't take them too long to discover the ruse, so we'd better hurry." Kei says as she heads for the door. She opens it and peers out into the hallway. "Just head left and then the second right, should be straight from there."

The group reaches the ship with no trouble. As they board, Urufu nods to Kei. "Nice, better than my remote bomb plan. Though the point of the second spell was not purely harm the eardrums - anything with water in its body conducts sound, am I right?" "Argue later," Machaeus says. "You said they'd take little time to discover the ruse, but not THAT little time." "Huh?!" Urufu scowls, looking out the window at the approaching guards. "Crap, how?!" "I think there might have been someone near the ship that took off," Machaeus says. "Doesn't matter." Machaeus smirks, muttering under his breath. A mostly-transparent, rainbow-tinted wall pops into being. As each guard fires, the blast is reflected back at them, and they quickly lose their handle on their weapons, which is good enough for the ship to get the heck out of there. As he dispels the wall, Machaeus smiles proudly, despite his heavier breathing. "Retaliation Barrier Test Run, successful. Other notes - inefficient." He sits down, his eyes more than a little glassy. He eventually nods off.

"Impressive. That was really good,Mach.Mach?" Ash snaps his fingers in front of Machaeus face to be sure that he is fallen asleep.
He sighs and sits down in one corner of the ship.As he thinks about everything that has happened until now,he shakes his head. Now I´m not only hunted on earth...Looks like everyone is after my head...
"So...Kei...What are you going to do once were on earth?Except some small talk with Xacio."

((Dang it I knew I should've posted earlier, I had a small fight scene all planned out for the hanger. But, I'm nothing if I'm not adaptable.)) Sitting in the pilot's seat, Kei didn't take her attention away from the controls while she ran the shuttle through it's pre-flight checks. "Right now I'm too busy trying to get us out of here in this fracking excuse for a slag hauler to worry about the what ifs." "Slag 'auler?" said a disgruntled Gordon, now plugged back into the shuttle with his visage on the centre monitor, "The KPS-R2200 is a classic!" "Just because somethings old doesn't make it a classic, and... is that what you look like?" Kei said. Gordon look somewhat miffed. "What? I'll 'ave you know that this is the face of Earth's most prolific lover." Kei pulled back the throttle, and the shuttle vibrated as the engines began to idle. "We'll he must have operated in the dark a lot." The irritated A.I. was about to retort when he suddenly became aware of what was happening in the hanger. "Oh dear. That can't be a good sign." The Deathwatch guards, having given up their attacks on Machaeus' shield, had pulled back. Now entering the hanger, jogging but seemingly not hurried, was a squad of black armored humanoids. Totaling twelve in number, they carried almost ridiculously oversized blaster rifles nearly as tall as they were. They lined up in front of the shuttle, mirrored faceplates obscuring their faces, and leveled their weapons at the craft. "Now, what do you suppose they want?" asked Gordon.

Ash literally jumps into the thingypit and takes a closer look at the squad.
"That...No.It cant be!How can they be in a place like this!?!"
He slams his fist on the screen where Gordon's face is displayed.
"Get us out of here.NOW!There is no way we can win a fight against them!", he shouts, almost sounding scared.

"Oww! Watch it!" said Gordon, his image peering around Ash's fist. One of the soldiers opened fire. A single blue bolt of light hit the shield and bounced off into the opposite wall. The others did not fire, and the soldier returned the rifle to his side. Kei snarled, baring her fangs. "They're just going to wait until we lift out of the hanger and past the shield so they can shoot us... Out of the hanger..." she turned her head to one of the instrument panels in the c0ckpit, as if an idea had struck her suddenly. It had. "Ash, tell me something," Kei asked as she took out a datapad from one of her belt pouches and plugged it into the main display. "You seem to know who these kregs are, and I'm guessing that you'd know what they're capable of," Gordon's face disappeared from the screen, replaced by lines of code written in some mathematical language. What appeared next was what appeared to me a menu screen written in Standard. Kei kept typing. "So answer me this one question," Kei flipped a switch on the control console, and the shuttle suddenly seemed to have been pushed down a little onto the floor. She pushed one of the menu buttons on the main display and the whole hanger was suddenly lit in rotating red lights. A siren began to wail. The black-armored soldiers looked around, confused. "Can they operate in a vacuum?" The buzzing blue atmospheric containment field, which covered the opening through which spacecraft could enter and leave the hanger, disappeared. The outside of the shuttle's canopy was briefly covered by condensation before becoming clear again. When it did, the soldiers were gone. Deactivating the magnetic clamps on the landing gear, Kei let the small craft drift up into the cavernous dockyards.

The emblem on their shoulders...That squad is called "Kugelblitz".They're the best the EDF got.Born to kill. That would be the best way to describe them.It is said that they never lost a fight. And they participated in many battles...And now they have their own armors.D@mn!"
Only now Ash sees that he slammed his fist on the screen. He removes his fist from the screen and grabs the co-pilots chair instead.
"My armor was designed for aerial combat.I couldn't survive 5 seconds out there. But since they shown up here,in space,I wouldn't be surprised if they could survive in space."

Blue bolts of energy began to fly past the ship. Kei increased their speed and began to roll the shuttle to evade fire. "Well I guess that answers my question. Everyone strap yourselves in, this is gonna be rough." Everyone was pushed back as the ship accelerated hard. Dodging massive cargo ships and smaller craft, they were soon out of range of the EDF soldiers. Before them were the twin hundred meter wide doors of New Eden, beyond that was the untwinkling backdrop of space. DOCKYARDS CONTROL ROOM "I said close the fraking doors!!" roared the irate Deathwatch Kommandant Ulrask as he held one of the techs by his collar. The rest of the workers were still at their stations under guard by the mercs that had stormed the control room. "I-I can't do that!" the helpless tech looked to his workmates for assistance, "The doors will take an hour to reopen! It'll throw back all of our schedules-" Ulrask threw the man into the corner of the room where he landed relatively unharmed. Wrenching out one of the chairs to make room for himself, then, tearing open the protective cover, threw the switch that engaged the door's emergency closure sequence. DOCKYARDS Gears creaked and dynamos whined as the doors began to move for the first time in decades. Slowly, the began to slide inwards. Caught by surprise, the spacecraft in the vicinity either backed off, accelerated to get through, or remained where they were. From the shuttle, Kei cursed in a dozen bizarre languages, including Welsh.

"Oh crap! They want to trap us inside the dock? Can´t this thing fly a little faster?!?", Ash shouts as he sees the huge doors in the distance.
"Come on Gordon!Do something!Give the engines some more energy or something like that!"

The mage has woken up from all the yelling and blasts, and he's not happy about having his nappy-time interrupted. Machaeus growls, grabbing Urufu by the shoulder and using him as a backup battery. He then creates a portal big enough for Gordon to fly through, leaving several people to wonder (until they see the portal) what the H3LL that big "rip" noise was. "And yes, that's safe," he says, panting somewhat. "I do this all the time to get to places." "Wait, why are you...?" "Backup magic." "Great, you're draining me to fuel our escape. Friggin' wonderful, you're THAT low?" "Yes. Without you helping me, I wouldn't be able to get us past that door without the portal literally touching said door. Now we're just inches away from being 50 miles away from this station." The Retaliation Barrier suddenly begins to waver, unbeknown to our heroes...

The barrier crumbles. Shots from the now recovered Kugleblitz squad converge on the shuttle... And pass through the space that it once occupied as the portal closed around it. From the control room, Ulrask watches the scene. Brooding. For a long moment there is now sound other than the ambient background hum of computers, neither the controllers or the mercs dare move. The Denoberian turns around and walks out of the control room. As the doors close behind him all the others breath out as one in relief. Then a bestial roar cuts through the 2-foot thick doors and seemed to reverberate around the whole Dockyards. Meanwhile, the small shuttle and it's crew tore through the other end of the rift before it closed behind them. Kei, with a white knuckled grip on the control column -though hard to see through her fur- was slightly startled by the sudden transition. "OK, what just happened?" she asked, "We were inside...now we're outside...what the?" "That there was Machy-boys o' teleportin' trick," said Gordon, significantly more cheery now that nobody was shooting at him, "good as any Gravatic Warp Drive I reckon, though it does take a lot out o' the lad." Looking at the sensors confirmed that they were about fifty miles from New Eden, and also confirmed that there were a few ships headed their way at intercept speeds. "Well a lot of good it did us, just prolonging the inevitable. If only this thing wasn't so fracking slow we could..." a I-just-thought-of-something look crossed her furry face, "Hey Gordy, you said that this thing has an LDS right?" "Yeees," said the AI, a bit worriedly "but it's been ages since it was last used, could be dangerous y'know." "Well it's either stay here and get blasted, or use it and only risk getting our atoms smeared across a parsec. I'm all for the latter." Kei raised her hand. "All in favour?"

"Depends on the chances," Urufu says. "Are ours good or bad if we use this LDS thing? And what is it? I know LSD but I doubt they're the same."

"LDS stands for Linear Displacement System," explains Kei, "it's like a poor beings version of a Gravatic Warp Drive, except instead of creating a wormhole by manipulation of gravity like a GWD, an LDS...well it's a very complicated procedure mathematically speaking," "And it's dangerous." said Gordon "Yes, that too, but an LDS displaces the mass of a vessel into a point in front of it until it creates a singularity that pulls it through space at faster than light speeds." "And it's dangerous." repeated Gordon. Kei ignored him. "So, it would save you a lot of energy I think Machy, 'cause whatever it is you do seems to take a hellava lot outta you."

"Gordon is right. You look exhausted. You should try to get some rest.Considering our current situation, that must sound like a joke.I know.", Ash says to Machaeus, clapping on his shoulder.
He turns around, apparently thinking over any possible solution for the their problem. After a few seconds,he turns around again, crossing his arms.
"Well. If there is only the slightest chance to get back to earth in one piece...Im willing to risk it.Of course I can only speak for myself.I wont die.Not now.And certainly not in space."
