"Skyway Patrol managed to rile people up against me, even though I'd saved several lives back in those days. Which reminds me, I need to p!ss on Admiral Grunger's grave for causing me to have PFUTA disease." (He pronounces it FOO-tah.) "PFUTA?" Machaeus asks. "Pitch Fork Up The A$$."

Urufu knocks on the door. "Yo, there a Dogman around here?" he asks. "We need to ask about a guy."

A guttural growl echoes from inside the container. "Enter. Your arrival has been anticipated." The metal door swings open, revealing the spartan interior. The single electric lantern on the ceiling illuminates shelves of books and tinned food. The floor has been covered with a ragged old carpet, that could have been red at one time. At the back a robed figure, his face hidden, sits on a large yet thin cushion. With a clawed, furry hand he casts some knucklebones onto a small dish then runs his palm across them. "You seek someone. A very dangerous man." he says. "Yes. I am not mistaken." Dogman lifts his hood, revealing a his aptly named canine-like features. His eyes are completely white and a scar runs from left to right across them; he is obviously blind. "And so you have come to seek my counsel. Come, sit." the old Khrohali beckons to the group.

"Fine, fine.", Ash mumbles as he sits down in front of him.
"Listen.I usually don´t believe this stuff. But I´ve seen much stranger things today. You known that we would come here.So I guess we don´t have to introduce ourselves.Even if that´s discourteously. You are right. We seek someone."
He makes a short pasue before he continues.
"If you really are what I think...Then you can probably tell me where I can find him.And maybe if I´m able to defeat him."

The old Khrohali chuckles. "I'm afraid it does not work like that. I cannot control what the Fates show to me, only... pass on the message, as it where. But, I will try." Dogman collects the knucklebones from the dish, shakes them and casts again. He runs his hands over the dish before speaking again. "Hmm. The Fallen One is hidden, even from me. But an insight into the future battle has been gained... An old battleground, stalked by the spirits of wars past. It boils and freezes, the air is coarse and toxic. The armoured beast waits.... That is all. The outcome remains unknown to me." The alien sat back and drew a long breath. He stared Ash with lifeless eyes. "Not satisfactory enough for you, I gather. As I have said, He is hidden. But I need not ask the Fates on some matters. I know enough of the Fallen One from my own experiences."

"Please tell me everything you know.Someone said that this respirator he wears could be a weak spot.Do you know something about it?Or maybe any other weak spots?", Ash asks, looking into Dogman´s lifeless eyes. Those eyes were pretty scary to him.But he tried the best to supress this feeling.

Dogman laughed. "Weakness? If the Fallen One has any He has never shown them. Realise human that to my people He is a demigod. In our darkest hour we prayed, and He came and delivered us. Or so say our high priests back on Khrohal. I, on the other hand, am one of the few who knew Him, who fought alongside Him. Fewer still are the ones that still live to tell the tale. "Ten years ago, before I gave up my name and possessions, I was a soldier. We were fighting a losing battle, in a war that brought devastation on a scale never seen before on a thousand worlds. My people were divided. One side made the claim that their god was the one true god, that all who thought otherwise were heretics and did not deserve life. The other tried to be the voice of reason, that no one person could know the true will of the universe, and that all must live in peace." he sighed, "Of course you know what happened next. It is something fundamental that occurs on every world. "As the war drew on we, that is to say the side I was on, were not fairing well. The Brotherhood used weapons and tactics in a manner that showed no respect for the lives of others, even the lives of thier own warriors. To this day much of my homeworld is too toxic to inhabit, and will remain so for many thousands of years." he paused for a second, and looked round the group. "I'm sorry that must sit through the ramblings of an old man, but bear with me for this story may contain information vital to you. "In out darkest hour we prayed to the God of all Faiths, that we may find a way to fight the evil of the Brotherhood. And so it was that our prayers were answered; the Fallen One came to Khrohal."

Urufu listens intently. "Gods and demons," he mutters finally. "This guy...I can understand why he's called the Fallen One. Gone from demigod to mercenary, no offense meant. "And you think you ramble? You should hear me when I start talking Dungeons & Dragons. I've made the world record for ramblings of 27 hours, 38 minutes, and 5 seconds. Unless someone beat that over the last 120 years."

"I do not believe in the Fallen One's divinity, nor do most of my people. The title of demigod was bestoed upon Him as a mark of respect, and of fear. But that was after the war, not durring or before. His name is derived from a prophecy seen by a seer like myself at the onset of the conflict." Dogman closed his eyes and recited the prophecy: In the time where brothers will war with themselves, a fire shall spread across the globe. None shall be spared the murderous gaze of the Beast's packs, not the young, nor the frail, nor the innocent. At their darkest hour they shall call to Heavens and beseach the God of all Faiths for delieverance. And unto them He shall come. The child without innocence. The angel with no mercy. The demon with no bloodlust. He shall walk in the twilight; half in Darkness, half in Light. Cast from Heaven. Banished from Hell. The Fallen One. He opened his eyes, white pupils staring into space. "It was always thought that evil must be countered with good. But sometimes, evil must be fought with a different kind of evil. "We, the soldiers of the Sect, often showed mercy to the Brotherhood only for them to strike at us when we lowered or weapons. We would not intentionally target civilians; they would. We would not kill the wounded; they would. They destroyed entire cities, raised them to the ground and burned them until desert sands turned to glass. Yet we could never find it in ourselves to do the same. But He could. He fought them on their terms. Young as he was he saw that the only way to defeat them was to completely destroy them. So we hardened ourselves to the task." The Khrohali dropped his head, looking at the ground. "If we had to kill them all, then we sought to do it in the most humane way possible. Our leaders hired mercenaries from all over the galaxy to spread a virius that our kind had eradicated centuries before over the face of Khrohal. At the same time we immunised all of our people; the mercenaries were safe since this virius only attacks Khrohali." Dogman's words became increasingly strained. The memories were painfull for him. "It only took one month... the bodies, I remember them... they were everywhere. Some had been outside for weeks and..." he stopped and put one furry paw over his face. It took him a minute to regain his composure before he continiued, "My unit was assigned burrial detail for one area. We used leftover ordiance to blow a pit, it must have been 100m wide, 50m deep. We managed to fill it to within 5m of the top." Dogman looked a the group again. "Do you know how many bodies it takes to fill a pit that big?" He let that thought linger through those gathered before continiuing. "That was where I first met the Fallen One. He was standing over the pit, looking down at the bodies. Then he looked at me... those eyes, I'll never forget them... He asked me if I regreted what had been done. I said that I regret that it had to come to mass genocide. He said that would have been the outcome regardless. If we had not killed them all they would have killed us, then they would have moved onto the next planet, then the next until eventually they would have killed off by another race or overrun the whole galaxy. "He said that their death was preordained from the outset of the war. They were upsetting the balance of the universe and had to be removed. He said to me that if I truly wanted a humane end to the war then this was it. I said how could this ever be considered humane? He said... He sad that we had not placed the burden of choice on one race to wipe out another, because they would have been the only ones left had we not acted when we did. We were alive and they were not, that is all that matters. "I never thought a child could think so coldly."

"They can," Urufu says. "They can act, be, and think cruelly and coldly. They can murder at 7 if you give them the reasons and tools." He seems to be biting back anguish as he says this. "You'd know, wouldn't you?" Machaeus says. "You wiped out a gang and set the building they used on fire." "Shut up about that. The jerks would've killed more people if they'd survived. They were a small mafia-to-be."

"As you humans say, we all have our crosses to bear. That is why I came here, to seek penance for my sins by helping those in need. Anyway, that is my story. That was the first and only time I ever laid eyes upon the Fallen One. After the war He disappeared again. It is believed that He joined up with a mercenary organisation known as Deathwatch, for He has worn their colours on numerous occasions since. Their base of operations is in a most dreadful place; New Eden space station. That would seem to be the next logical step in your quest, though I would seek to take more of your friends with you." Dogman spread his arms. "Now, may I help you with anything else? Perhaps I didn't answer all of your questions; perhaps you have more."

"Just one more question. How can we get to "New Eden"? You don´t happen to have a spacship lying around here somewhere?", Ash says sarcastically.
He stands up and sighs.
"I never thought that finding Xacio would be that difficult."

Dogman raised a finger. "Though I do not doubt your powers mage, yes I know of you well, that may be ill advised. For New Eden is what you humans call an O'Neill Cylinder space station. Teleport yourself into the wrong spot and... it could be a long fall. Or you could even end up in space." he turns to Ash, "As a matter of fact I do have a spacecraft, though in it's present condition you would almost run the same risks as teleporting. I would be happy for you to have it; what use would it be to me now?" Dogman chuckled and tapped the scar running across his eyes. "Perhaps, if you chose not to fly through space, one aspect of the computer system could be of help to you. The A.I. core is quite advanced, and he possess knowledge about a great many aspects of space and those not of your world." a slightly worried expression crossed his face, "Though I fear the years of neglect since I came to Earth have left him a little... odd."
