Race: Tiefling (A human/oid with demon/devil blood in his veins; in Machaeus' case, he's 1/16th demon - the rest is human)
Chronological age: Around 500
Strength(Rating 1-10 scale): 6
Weaponry(If any): Dagger, spellbook (it's REALLY heavy)
Weaknesses: Takes a long time to warm up to people
Personality: Overly serious, incapable of taking a joke, wrathful
Machaeus is a rarity among the human race: he is capable of drawing energy from the world around him to cast spells. He focused on this power to the deprivation of all else - school, friends, family, and sometimes even hygiene and sustenance. He is single-minded, focused, and can draw out all of the magical energy of a target, killing/annihilating it in a small implosion (although the effort of using this ability nearly kills him). He usually avoids contact with people, which is why he came to the ruins of Tremorton - he figured there wouldn't be anyone there. His previous home base, unbeknownst to him, was once the home of Nora Wakeman, as well as the location of her lab and the inactive XJ-0.
Machaeus' ancestor is a Balor demon, a deadly and powerful general of the Infinite Levels of the Abyss (of which, only 666 have been documented). He recently sealed away this demonic predecessor (sp?) in the Elemental Plane of Earth, which, minus a few tunnels, is merely a place of infinite rock and soil - several earth-element creatures live there, such as straight-up elementals and the mineralvore xorns. The Balor in question, Garuu'Shak, was last seen being crushed under infinite weight. Legend has it that he somehow escaped back to the Abyss, however. (See Garuu'Shak's bio for information.)
Despite Machaeus' attempts to show himself nothing more than a light-hearted being (he IS mostly human), most sects of the Christian Church, and some other religions, despise him at best and hunt him like a monster at worst. This has made him cynical and a bit of a jerk, but if someone can warm up to him, he can do likewise. He's extremely friendly with other supernatural creatures (as long as they aren't the kind that would associate themselves with beings like his great-great-grandfather).
