Everyone has returned to the lab following the battle.
VIKEL: It's not over yet. I'm picking up strong readings scattered throughout the city. They are all giga-irregs.
CIEL: There are four of them. Each one has an army of irregs with them. I don't know how they gathered like this. How could such a breakout happen so fast and now?
VIKEL: We may have a chance to curb this crisis!
Vikel presses a button that opens a flat panel.
VIKEL: Place your hands here. With this device I can know everything about your strength and powers. I can also monitor your power output and abilities as you battle. Me and Ciel may even be able to make devices to increase your strength.

"If you're not certain, why'd you put your hand there?" Machaeus asks.
"I'm a pretty tough guinea pig," the lycan grins.

"Maybe I don't HAVE any, Ruri," Urufu scowls. "A buncha irregs attacked my temporary home once, right in the middle of a shower. I had to fight them off butt-naked, and since the entire house got blown to bits..." He's now bright red.
