"Ash, that kinda sounds like Jacks over here. When she's in her robot form, her human energy can be drained if she uses too much power." Jessie adds. "Yeah, we're both half-human, half-robot. Not that I think you are too..."

"It's a device they have," Machaeus explains in a low voice. "It gives them a robotic form that allows for increased combat capabilities. So in a way it's similar to your armor."
Hiiruf floats over. "Hey there, I don't think we've met. I'm Hiiruf, I'm a lantern archon!" The angelic puff of light bobs pleasantly, as if in greeting of the two girls.

Half-robot?What the...?
He turned around and began to move,pulling the heavy armor over the ground.The memory's came again.The reason for his messed up life.
"Whatever.Just stay away from me.Especially if you look like robots.Then,everything will be fine."
He grabbed a laptop from a table without stopping.
"I borrow this.",was all he said as he held the laptop up in the air.

"Lantern archons are a kind of angel. We're...wimpy, to say the least, but we make good reading lights and have access to minor light magic if we need to fight. I'd shake your hand, but I don't have anything to shake with," Hiiruf chuckles.
"Trust me, Jessie and Jackie are alright," Machaeus tells Ash. "They're not like the irregs."

"Yes, your souls would be in the appropriate afterlife. What do you want me to say? That I'd beat up a lady like yourself? HARDLY." He turns away, apparently offended. "I may not be chivalrous, but I don't fight women unless they mean to fight me."
"Softie," Urufu snores.
"WHAT?" Machaeus says dangerously.
"You take 2d10 damage and you're already floored. My sorcerer can take more damage than your fighter, ha ha!"
Machaeus sighs. "D@mn, but I hate his roleplaying obsession sometimes."

"Don't start," Jessie says, glaring at her cousin. "I'm just saying, if we were irregs for some random reason, you'd beat us no prob. But enough of that. We can come with you guys, right?"

Ash sat at a table in front of the laptop.The laptop was connected to the armors CPU through a small cable.His hair was still wet from the shower he took before.
Various windows appeared on the laptops screen,showing him damage reports and statuses of the single armor parts.
He typed commands into the opened windows like crazy.But he thought the whole time about the two girls and machaeus words.
..."Trust me, Jessie and Jackie are alright..."
"Yeah.Of course they are.Before they turn into Irregs."
A new window opened on the screen.

"Robots started to rampage right here in Tremorton.I don't know where they came from or why they began to destroy anything in their way,but they came d**ned close to where my parents and I lived.Everyone tried to get out of town.We almost reached the city limits...but then...",he suddenly stopped. "I still don't know what it was...maybe a grenade or a rocket... Something exploded right in front of us.As I opened my eyes I've seen my parents.My father was covered in his own blood,not moving anymore.And my mother...I will never forget the expression on her face before she died..." "I still have nightmares.I still hear them screaming and crying when I close my eyes." "Is it about the robots that attacked you when you were younger?" Hiiruf asks. His normally bright light is dimmed, possibly a sign of sadness. |
